2025 Early Career Teaching Award

Forest Mannan, from Western Colorado University, has been awarded the Early Career Teaching Award for 2025 from the MAA Rocky Mountain Section. The Early Career Teaching Award was established to recognize outstanding contributions for faculty that are within seven years of obtaining their degree.

His courses are built around active engagement, critical thinking, and inquiry-based learning, often featuring minimal lecturing in favor of interactive worksheets, in-class projects, and peer discussion.
